Rugby has been cancelled in schools!

The Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation has decided to cancel all school rugby games for safety and
insurance reasons. That decision has been met with anger from players, coaches and fans.

News of the cancellation came a day after a Sydney Academy student was injured during a game. A year ago a PEI student died from injuries suffered in a rugby game. The Federation’s executive director Stephen Gallant says cancelling rugby in schools was not a knee jerk reaction…they’ve been discussing it for a year.
