Richmond County concerns

More revelations about the expense spending of Richmond County councilors.

Municipal Affairs Minister Zach Churchill called a scheme to have councilors reimbursed with County taxpayers dollars for attending a Liberal fundraiser disappointing, wrong; and in contravention of the rules.

Opposition leader Jamie Baillie called it outrageous.

The donations went to the riding association of Energy Minister Michel Samson who said last week the councilors made an honest mistake.

A leaked email by former Warden Steve Sampson shows it was a deliberate attempt to circumvent those rules.
