CBRM garbage totals

A lot of flood damaged debris is piling up at the special landfill set up for the purpose.

CBRM Solid Waste Manager Francis Campbell told the CBC 4,000 tons have been picked up at the curbs and hauled to the site since the floods.

Normal weekly pickups usually result in 700-800 tons.

Even the heavy garbage pickup in the spring usually nets about 2,500 tons.

Campbell says you can see people’s entire households there.
